I’m Dr. Jennifer Hudson, a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience of providing psychological services in both NHS and private settings. I have worked in a range of both general and specialist services including Adult Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Early Intervention Psychosis services. I offer highly specialised interventions for adults and young people with a range of complex needs. In addition to this, I am also an experienced trainer and supervisor.

My Approach

I am driven by a deep sense of compassion and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those I work with. My clients can expect a safe and supportive therapeutic environment in which they can explore a variety of concerns. I am committed to helping my clients improve their quality of life using highly personalised, evidence-based psychological interventions.

My treatment approach focuses on building individuals' strengths and helping clients to find meaning and purpose in your lives. My optimism and encouraging approach help create a warm and welcoming therapeutic environment. I passionately believe that everyone deserves to live a happy and fulfilling life and that with the right support and guidance, you can make meaningful progress at your own pace.

My Experience

I have expertise working with a wide range of mental health issues, including trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, ASD, and ADHD. My training and experience cover a broad range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, systemic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and CBT-I (a specialist intervention for sleep disorders) among other evidence-based modalities. I am also trained in eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), which is an effective treatment for trauma-related disorders.

I have a special interest in working with neuro-developmental conditions and have extensive experience of providing assessment and psychological support for individuals with autism and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I have addtionally trained in the administration and interpretation of assessments, such as the ADOS, for autism spectrum disorders.

I take a holistic, evidence-based approach, recognising that effective treatment requires comprehensive, collaborative, and personalised care. By working together, my clients can feel confident in their ability to improve their lives.
