Dr Russell Ward
BMBS, MRCGP, BSc (Hons.)
I am Dr Russell Ward, I first studied Biology at Kings College London including psychology and animal behaviour. I then studied Economics with the Open University and went on to train in Medicine at Nottingham university.
I qualified in 2008 and then traveled to get experience at Yale Medical School, Connecticut in their Trauma Surgery department before starting my junior doctor jobs in the UK, which included Emergency medicine, Psychiatry, Acute Medicine, Critical Care, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Sexual Health.
Following my junior hospital jobs I obtained a place in surgical training to specialise in Urology Surgery with the Cambridge Deanery. I soon realised my interest was in General Practice and in particular Men’s health.
I have been a GP for over a decade and now work mainly privately having worked with several leading London private practices. I have worked hard to build a significant network of specialists who I feel are the right fit for my patients needs and the absolute best of the best.
I continue to enjoy all aspects of medicine, valuing continuity of care and really getting to know my patients. A return to old fashioned medicine ‘From Cradle to Grave’.
I continue to have a particular interest in Men’s health including mental health.
When not in the practice I enjoy most sports, in particular playing tennis. But my favourite activity is a long walk with my Jack Russell.
