I am Dr Tim Ojo, a senior consultant psychiatrist with over 31 years’ experience in mental health. I have worked both in the NHS and privately in the Brighton & Hove area in general adult psychiatry providing care across a variety of settings. Since retiring from full time NHS practice in 2022, I now pursue a portfolio career that includes private psychiatric practice, coaching, mediation, mentoring, independent medicolegal work and organisational consulting. I am pleased to be able to expand my services to patients in London.
My Approach
I am committed to helping my patients achieve the valued positive changes they want to achieve in the lives. I put my patients need first and adopt a holistic bio-psychosocial approach to delivering health care.
My “head, heart and hands” philosophy to dealing with mental health problems essentially is about focusing on how patients thoughts, emotions and behaviours can be optimised in achieving positive growth and change.
My areas of special interest
I have experience of working across a wide range of mental health conditions and add value by providing behavioural science informed coaching support to help people achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
I have a special interest in occupational psychiatry, mental wellbeing, psychosexual problems, depression and mental health problems related to religious/spiritual/cultural beliefs and practices.
I endeavour to help my patients live their “best lives” through helping them optimise their self-efficacy and psychological resilience.
